Coordinate dress with your team.

A unified dress will make your business chic and professional. Perhaps try black dresses with colored sweaters (OMK always stand out with our red jackets). Remember to wear or bring comfortable shoes, for you will be standing 6-8 hours.

Come prepared.

Days before the show, set up a mock-table of what you would like your booth to look this. This way, you are not scrambling the day of for decorations. Also remember to pack everything carefully nights before, allowing yourself time to remember any last minutes items (chalkboard markers, tape, scissors, etc). Also, bring a tote bag full of items for your team, including snacks, deodorant, and chapstick).

Make up a script to work off of.

For a first timer, impromptu conversations can be rather intimidating; however, with the comfort of a script, you can focus on connecting with potential clients rather than searching you head for the next question to ask. Ask a seasoned member of your bridal show team to help you out. Also remember, your first conversations may be a bit shaky, but don’t let that discourage you. Practice truly makes perfect.

Don’t be afraid to start the conversation.

While it may be intimidating to walk up to brides and start chatting, it goes with the territory of a bridal show. Watch an experienced wedding planner approach a potential client and work off of their tips and tricks.

Water. Water. Water.

Between standing all day and constantly chatting, hydration is crucial. Bring a refillable water bottle and drink between each bride to stay hydrated and energized through the day.
